Course Descriptions:

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers:
Healthcare Professionals, after successfully completing this course you will be able to quickly recognize and properly react to life-threatening emergencies. This course demonstrates proper techniques and protocols for CPR administered in a healthcare setting (i.e.: hospital, nursing home, home health, etc.). Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training is another aspect of the BLS for HCP Course. Trainees will not only learn when to use an AED, but appropriate placement of the pads and how to operate the keystrokes of an AED appropriately. Adult, child and infant choking relief are also covered in this course.
This course is generally required for individuals serving in any medical occupation or capacity which offers patient care. Please verify with your employer directly to ensure that this course is appropriate for your personal occupational training needs.

Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid:
Heartsaver training courses are intended for individuals with limited to no professional healthcare training skills, whom need CPR/AED and/or First Aid certifications in order to comply with occupational regulatory guidelines. Upon successful completion of the Heartsaver CPR/AED Classroom course, trainees will be equipped with the skills necessary to perform high-quality CPR, AED training, and relief of adult choking in a newly implemented AHA training technique referred to as Practice-While-Watching.
The Heartsaver First Aid Classroom course covers first aid basics such as scene safety, assessing the problem, calling for assistance, etc. Other medical emergencies such as shock, breathing difficulties, and choking are also addressed in this course. Review of proper actions for injury emergencies (bleeding, burns, broken bones), and environmental emergencies (bites, temperature-related, and poison emergencies) are included in training topics for this course.
